Position at UF:   Associate Professor, Department of Orthopaedics & Rehabilitation (Secondary Appointment, Molecular Genetics & Microbiology), College of Medicine.

Job before this one:   Assistant Professor, Center for Molecular Orthopaedics, Harvard Medical School

Current research interest, in layman’s terms:  Gene therapy for arthritis, use of mesenchymal stem cells for tissue repair and regeneration.

Prior Research:  Mitochondrial DNA transcription and replication.

Education:  
BA, University of Central Florida; Ph.D. University of Florida

Family: Married with two teenage daughters.

When I'm not at work, I am:  Running, biking, surfing, working around the house, hanging out with the girls.

The best thing that I've done lately that no one knows about:  Cured arthritis.  

Last non-work related book:  DNA by James Watson.

Last movie and your thoughts:  “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.” Although Depp is trendy, Wilder holds his own.

Something always in your refrigerator:  Hot sauce and mayonnaise.

People would be surprised to know that:  I’m addicted to video games.
