Current research interest, in layman’s terms: Gene therapy for type 1 diabetes, arthritis, and alpha 1 antitrypsin gene deficiency. Recombinant Adeno-associated virus (rAAV) vector biology.
Prior Research: Development of gene therapy for alpha 1 antitrypsin deficiency.
Education: B.S., M.S., PhD.
Family: We are All Gators! My wife is a Senior Biological Scientist in the UF College of Pharmacy. My daughter is a freshman at UF. My son graduated from Baby Gator. He is in fifth grade now.
When I'm not at work, I am: Traveling or gardening.
The best thing that I've done lately that no one knows about: I do not keep secrets, especially for good things!
Last non-work related book: A book on acupuncture.
Last movie and your thoughts: The Incredibles. It is incredible.
